On Tuesday and Wednesday I work at the:

Nearest Underground stations:
St. Paul 's, Blackfriars tube stations and City Thameslink rail station.
The Practice is in easy walking distance of Farringdon, Bank and Temple tube stations.
Bus links: no.11,15,23,26 and 76.

On Thursday and Friday I work at the:
Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE)
Beauchamp Lodge, 2 Warwick Crescent, London W2 6NE.
Nearest Underground stations:
Paddington, Warwick Avenue, Maida Vale, Royal Oak.

When did you qualify?
I qualified in 2003 and received my professional accreditation in 2005.

Are you accredited to a professional organisation?
Yes, I am a registered through the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Do you subscribe to a professional Code of Ethics?
I work to the standards set down by the BACP through their ‘Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy’, and the Code of Practice set down by the UKCP.

What about confidentiality?
As a subscriber to the BACP ‘Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy’ I work to ensure ‘careful attention to client consent and confidentiality’.

Do you keep notes with my name on them?
I do record case notes but anonymity of clients is always maintained.

Do you tape record sessions?
No.

Do you receive regular supervision?
Yes. I receive the correct level of baseline clinical supervision recommended by the BACP. Client anonymity is always maintained.

Are you currently in personal therapy?
Yes.

What happens in the first session?
This will be an opportunity for both us to get a sense of each other. It will also be a chance for me to gather some detailed information on your background and what has brought you to counselling or psychotherapy, and from that to evaluate whether or not I am the best person to work with you.

What happens if I decide to go ahead after the first meeting?
We will both sign the Guidance Notes, which include written details of how I work and the nature of the arrangements you will be required to agree to in order to undertake our work together.
